Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
  • All abstracts must not exceed 500 words (does not include the title, author’s details, or references).
  • A table or figure will count as 150 words.
  • The presenting author’s name must appear first in the list of authors.
  • There is no limit to the number of poster abstracts you may submit.
  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the website only and received by the announced deadline.
  • Poster presenters must be registered as participants and present at the venue to receive a certificate of appreciation at the end of the session.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Congress publications.
  • Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published or presented at any other international meeting before the Congress.
  • Instructions for preparing presentations (the poster size and presentation time) will be available on the Congress website.
  • Poster abstract submissions must be structured with the following:» Background» Method» Results» Conclusion» Keywords - Mandatory to include three

Final presentation format (Oral presentation OR Poster presentation) will be decided by the scientific committee.

Poster Award Rules:

  • The poster presentation will be conducted in person.
  • Three awardees will be selected based on experts’ scores.
  • Names of awardees will be announced at the closing of the ASAD conference, and each will receive award certificates and prizes (1st place: USD 300; 2nd place: USD 200; 3rd place USD 100).
  • The fourth and fifth winners will be awarded if suitable candidates are selected.
  • If there are no qualified candidates, some or all unfilled spots may be vacated.
  • Those who get the young researcher award won’t attend the poster award simultaneously.

MSN & MSC Category

MSN members who submitted abstracts will be prioritized in the Education Grant selection! Apply now for education grants through the MSN website before 31st May 2024.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract must be submitted online via the Congress website. Final forms of presentation can be in any of the following format:-» Oral Presentation» E-Poster Presentation
  • Category: Select the category which BEST describes the content of your abstract. Categories are used for reviewing and indexing purposes.» Clinical» Non-Clinical
  • Tables, graphs and images are not permitted.
  • Abstract submitted by fax, email or post will not be accepted.
  • Abstract must be submitted on or before 2nd May 2024. The online submission system will close at midnight GMT+8 on this day.
  • Abstract must be received by the announced deadline. Abstract received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.

Preparing Your Abstract for Submission

  • The abstract should be as informative as possible and include the following details:a. Introduction: background and specific objective of the studyb. Methods: description of methods usedc. Results: summary of results obtainedd. Conclusion: conclusion reached
  • It is not acceptable to simply state “The results will be discussed”.
  • Abstracts must meet the following specifications:
  • Abstract title: Limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE
  • Abstract should be accompanied by the authors’ names and affiliations.
  • Abstract text: Limited to 300 words (NOT including Authors and Affiliations)
  • Abstract topic: Abstract must be allocated to a specific area of interest from below» Adult Neurology» Basic Neuro Science» Child Neurology and Developmental Paediatrics» Stroke
  • Use only standard abbreviations. Special or unusual abbreviations are not recommended.
  • If otherwise necessary, the latter should be placed in parentheses after the first mentioned of the full word.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

Notification Of Decision

  • All abstracts will be forwarded to the Scientific Program Committee for review.
  • Notifications regarding the status of your abstract will be sent once the review process is complete.
  • The presenting author will be informed of the presentation details, including presentation type (oral or poster), scheduled presentation day and time.
  • The results will be released by 15th May 2024.

Presentation at the Congress

  • Instructions for preparation of poster/oral presentations will be sent together with acceptance notifications.
  • The committee will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors’ preferences but reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation.

Awards

  • MSN» The best 3 oral papers & 3 poster papers for Adult Neurology; Child Neurology and Developmental Paediatric (only poster papers) and Basic Neuro Science will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates.
  • MSC» Certificates and cash awards will be given to Top 3 Best Poster Presentation & Top 3 Best Oral Presentation. This is not renewable. It is the prerogative of the awardee to decide on the disbursement of the monetary award to other authors of the winning paper.
